Call it predictable, yesterday my dream was of you.

Life has been so good to me lately. I think I'm lost, but I also think I'm happier for it.

.

I spent forever and ever yesterday making this giant balloon of a dress, and I'm super proud of it, I did it from scratch without a pattern. It's SO good to be out of school for the summer.

There will be many more from this shoot soon, I think. I have a big idea that I've been thinking about for years, and I think I've finally made it happen.

Still not sure on the rotation. Thoughts?

That's my plan. :) Classes: twelve hours from being done and a cross-country road-trip only a week away. :D

The universe is shaped exactly like the Earth,
if you go straight long enough you'll end up where you were.

I love the curve of the earth. Whenever I go home (which I'll be doing in just a few days!!!) I climb up to the summit of the mountain cradling my home, to this flat platform of cracked rock. When you lay down on it, turn sideways, and look just right, you can see the Earth curve at the horizon, just a giant orb puncuated with mountains, with us clinging to the sides, our heads always pointed towards space.
That's the feeling that inspired this photo. If you ever get the chance, do it, because I can't explain it, I can just show you a tiny portion of the feeling.

This is a GIANT, giant compilation of about twenty-five photos. It quite literally took my computer an hour, that's right, an hour, to piece these all together, then I had to do some warping, but I think I like it, for now.

My mother gave me that poem years ago, and I keep it next to my bed in it's tiny, ancient wooden frame, because whenever I need cheering up, nothing does the job better. :) I think it might have been my Grandmother's, and I like to think of it as her words, whenever I need comforting or advice.

I FINALLY took some pictures again. I was killing myself not taking pictures. I think I just got a little freaked out for a while about doing photoshoots and having them be perfect, but that's not what photoshoots are supposed to be about. For me they're going out and finding beautiful things or making beautiful things, and although beauty is easy to find, it's not always easy to capture, and that's okay. Otherwise we wouldn't appreciate it as much as we do. I'm finding out that beautiful things of all types might just be best allusive.

I hope you guys are all still out there, and I promise to catch up on your streams soon. The semester is just a week and a half away. :D
