bag after 8th week - finished!

    well, stitching is all done.
as I decided to continue stitching on similar crocheted and fulled bags for TAST, I'll wait till end of the year before deciding on handles and lining.

      beautiful!
      really a work of art.

personally, i´d chose bamboo handles and a turquoise or green lining, but i´ll glue to the screen what you will choose!

      thank you, thank you :)

sew-mad - yes, turquoise or green would definitely work well for lining!

illelle - tead, tegelikult ei vaja see ületamatut kannatlikkust. iga nädal tund-poolteist tikkimist. pole ju palju ;)
ja tänud, jõudu tarvis või siis pigem aega ja rahu!

Stunning work, well done...Obviously flowers were part of the inspiration but was there anything else or did it just come to you?

    18. MarianneS (74 months ago | reply)

thank you all for your comments!

Mumscraftcorner - I didn't have any plan then I started out. Just explored one stitch each week. Some of them worked better as circles, some as straight lines. Probably half way through stitching I began to make conscious choices to keep both sides of bag sort of similar and balanced.

Just wonderful! I am late to seeing all of your wonderful things! Was the base just tightly crocheted and then what fiber did you use for the stitching. Your work just intrigues me-BEAUTIFUL

    21. MarianneS (72 months ago | reply)

herman - base was crocheted from very thin pencil roving and then fulled in washing machine. after that it became a piece of felt.
although crochet stitches are showing it has totally different texture than regular crochet work and it is very easy to stitch on.
