Lions of the Bridge
It is a source of great debate and a persistant challenge to see if you can count all the lions on the Lugou Qiao, also known as Marco Polo Bridge. The trick is not the larger lions that sit on the tops of the pillars but all the smaller ones that are hidden under and around the larger lions. No two are the same and there is said to be over 500.
