Bad dinner
I won't name the establishment as we have eaten well there on many occasions but what they served last night was dire.
My partner ordered leek and potato soup which arrived looking like a very thin chicken broth. It tasted, only marginally, of something acidic, we could not discover what.

Described as 'warm breast of Pigeon on a green salad with forest berries'. I suspected that there would be no forest berries as it is spring but to serve strawberries with meat?

Bad dinner
The Balsamic reduction was awful and the limp salad leaves had no dressing or even a slick of oil or lemon. The meat had been re-heated in a microwave and was as tough as old boots.
My partner tried the Harissa sardines, that was a thick layer of Harissa paste spread on the filleted fish and served with cous-cous, on a slate. 'Nuff said.
