Waiting for Trick-or-Treaters (Ontario)

    This is the first time I've seen my parents be real trick-or-treat hosts. Normally, they were just working away at the restaurant.

    They don't do much now that they're retired, so the 20-odd children who came by were the highlight of their day. My father would waddle to the door if he saw any activity in front of the house. Adorable.

      We had no kids come for trick or treat this year. The whole neighbourhood was quiet. I barely even heard any exploding rockets, which is unusual.
