complex image. my eye keeps firing back and forth between the dead and frozen bird and the headlights. very successful i would say.

"Bring me the two most precious things in the city," said God to one of His Angels; and the Angel brought Him the leaden heart and the dead bird.

"You have rightly chosen," said God, "for in my garden of Paradise this little bird shall sing for evermore, and in my city of gold the Happy Prince shall praise me."

something about the juxtaposition of the headlights (eyes, alive) and the poor dead bird, really works. well done!

This is very powerful, touching. The small bird or sparrow is prominent in our ways of thinking, but always ends up dead, doesn't he?

Two of the Gospels have Christ saying that a sparrow shall not fall, unless God wills it to die – and yet they litter the ground.

Lawrence claims a sparrow will fall frozen to the ground without having ever felt sorry for itself – I suppose that we, then, must do the mourning.

[kren] hit the nail on the head: beautiful death you captured here. It is very sad, but at the same time such a compelling beautiful shot. Congratulations on this.
