I had to cut my trip to Portland short due to forgetting my battery charger like an idiot. During the time I was there though I got to get out and do some shooting including a stop at Emerald Falls with Lance. This was my first time visiting this falls and it instantly became one of my favorites. Hope you are all having a great memorial day weekend out there!

A special thanks to everyone who attended this weekend's workshop in the Palouse. We had a great time and hope that all of you did also. The light on Friday was less than desirable and Saturday morning was overcast. Saturday night we made one more trip up to Steptoe Butte hoping for some nice light and we were not disappointed! Everyone was able to spend a solid hour searching for the best compositions in the hills below. For those who want to know, the fields are behind by a couple of weeks and the flowers are at peak right now. If you have the opportunity to get out there, you should do it. You'll be glad you did. I have one person interested in sharing the cost of a private 2 day workshop here in the next two weeks. If this is you, let me know and I will fill you in on the details.

This is one of my favorite places to watch crashing waves along the Oregon coast. The ocean is truly amazing.
