Back to nature, one of the main attractions around the town of Curepipe is the extinct volcano crater of Trou Aux Cerfs. It has been extinct for a long time, and the rim is now heavily wooded, as seen here. The water is not generally present, its the result of three days of incessant rain just a couple of days earlier, which we were lucky to escape.
