Kodachrome in my backyard

Kodachrome in my backyard

I was playing around with my new SeaLife DC1400, an underwater compact camera. The funky colors are a result of the "snorkling" filter on the camera. This is a partially in water shot as can be seen from the triple reflection of the chairs on the right.

Underwater in My Pool

Underwater in My Pool

Just got a new SeaLife DC1400 underwater camera for my upcoming trip to Hawaii. This was taken near the steps in/under my pool.

Annular Eclipse-20-5-12

Annular Eclipse-20-5-12

While we did not see the best view of Sunday's Annular Eclipse, we got a very good view and experience from our house. This shot was about as complete as the eclipse got in Los Angeles, California. The differences in colors and shades in the sky occurred due to my not holding the viewing film tight against the lens, which I did in other photos. I may have over- sparpened this one as well, but nevertheless, I like the colors and the funky outline of the moon and sun.

There was definitely a strange cast to the sky during the peak of the eclipse. While it was light outside, there was a strange pall unlike cloudiness. The experience was very interesting. I tried to take photos of the strange light, but my photos just didn't do justice to what I was really experiencing.
