Old Books

Now everyone in Highschool or in the University study with ipads,powerpoints and all available electronic media, It is time to take the focus back to the old paper books, where the old and the actual knowledge was gathered. I also miss the letters in everyone of their pages.

Leading the revolt

More than 200 years back, Spain was invaded by Napoleon forces, as amolst the entire Europe, as a result a rebelion took place, soon afterwards transformed into an Independence War, won by the Spanish forces some years later, one of the first drawbacks of the Emperor. One of leading people of this rebelion was Velarde (captain in the Artillery Academy). This is his commemorative sculpture in Santander (Cantabria), the region in which he was born. He died in the first days of the rebelion.
