Flickr friends,
I have had the most awful, slowest, and nearly useless internet service for several months now. It has made posting pictures a very frustrating experience, and one I don't try to do very often anymore. It took nearly a half hour, and several aborted attempts and errors to post these most recent nine pictures. It commonly takes well over an hour to download a 50 minute podcast. Listening to the radio online is frequently too annoying to even attempt, and I've given up completely on streaming music.
With any luck, and possibly getting involved in starting a new rural ISP, I think I will eventually be more active here at Flickr again. When I can post pictures without wanting to yank the ethernet cable out of the wall and shout obscenities into the shredded ends, then I will be back and posting and blogging more regularly.
In the meantime, if CenturyLink tries to sell you internet service, especially if you live in a rural area or small town, run the other way and do not look back, or your internet will turn into a pillar of salt.
Regards,
Mark
