Abandoned home northwest of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. The zig-zag trail caught my eye as I drove by. The scene will look much different today as there are now several inches of snow on the ground.

Long Road Ahead

Winter struck Saturday night with about three inches of snow. We saw this intrepid (foolhardy?) cyclist as we drove Highway 16, the Yellowhead, toward North Battleford, Saskatchewan on Sunday morning. A dangerous ride for him as he was in the one lane that was partly clear and traffic overtaking him had to take to the snow and ice covered left lane. We saw several cars in the ditch on this stretch. It was still snowing lightly when I took this through the car windshield.
