The Focus of an Artist

The Focus of an Artist

I LOVE working with minimal light. It forces me to stalk the image....set up camp and wait for my subject to fall into the fragment of light that I have available.

This is a shot of my tattoo artist as he works on my friend's newest piece (I had one done after her!). He has the most amazing energy, putting his all into making sure that his client leaves with artwork that makes them feel more complete for having it.

The Departure

The Departure

Taken at Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto while on a recent work trip.
I was able to sweet talk my way to the 'no public admittance' stables where I was able to take a handful of discreet shots, making sure not to bother the horses of course!

Eine Kleine Night Photography

Eine Kleine Night Photography

Another LE, f22 at ISO 100 and a 30 second exposure.....and at 1am no less!

Ugh! So, the beauty of living in an older city with cool, old timey architecture is that you've got quirky, lopsided buildings to photograph. Tragically, the bane of living in an older city with cool, old timey architecture is that you've got quirky, lopsided buildings to photograph! I can't get this one straight no matter what I use as a levelling point of reference!!!!!!!
