X-ray film stencil.
Before digital x-rays, only a couple of years ago, x-ray technicians discharged static on one sheet of film between scans. The black dots and squiggly lines are the static. I asked the tech in mammography one day what they did with the film. "We just throw it out."
I was given three nice boxes of Kodak MIN-R Mammography Film! The boxes, which have an interior cardboard liner, open just below the black label. They'll be re-purposed as slip-cased for hand bound books.

Toys in the Attic, Beasts in the Basement, our 4-person show, has been accepted at the Island Mountain Art Gallery for August, 2011 during Arts Wells Festival.

The heads all have different features so a new pattern has to be designed for each one. The first one I stitched is on the upper left and something terrible happened!! I drew the pattern piece incorrectly – I have trouble envisioning the flat pattern shape for the curve of the head. The second one (bottom left) is not as bad so I kept paring the pattern down until it looked right.

BUT mistake #1 will have a long Renaissance inspired ornate silk coat and will wear the top part of the rusty hook as a collar around his neck with the hook hanging down his chest. Mistake #2 (lower left) will have two faces, one each side of his head.
