The Window...

Portfolio I

Another shot from inside Norwich Cathedral this is of the stained glass window that is above the entrance to the naive. This is a series of three staked shots so that the ceiling of the Cathedral also fitted into the shot.

The 02...

The 02...

Portfolio I

For this shot of the 02 i decided to split it half way and turn it into a symmetrical image. I have done this with a few other of my images as well which you can view from my symmetry set.

I like creating these symmetrical images as it make the eye look at the image a second time as it notices that something is different about the image. Can you guess which part of the image I swapped over?

If you like this picture please feel free to look at my London Set for others from london or my HDR set for all of my HDR shots. I also have a Night set which is worth a visit and for all of my other Symmetry shots.

Private Congregation...

Private Congregation...

Blog I

This little altar inside Ely Cathedral can easily be missed as it is not in the main part of the building. Its hidden around the side of the entrance to the main part of the Cathedral. It looks like a private worship place where somebody would go to be away from the main congregation.

The Bridge...

The Bridge...

Blog I

In NYC this is my favourite bridge the Queensboro Bridge it is a cantilever bridge which connects Queens with Manhattan passing over the top of Roosevelt Island.

I love the metal work of the bridge it has a really interesting mesh look to it. The bridge supports cars trains and pedestrians it has different levels for all of these type of travellers.

Here is some infomation about the bridge from Wikipedia

The Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge, also known as the 59th Street Bridge – because its Manhattan end is located between 59th and 60th Streets – or simply the Queensboro Bridge, is a cantilever bridge over the East River in New York City that was completed in 1909. It connects the neighborhood of Long Island City in the borough of Queens with Manhattan, passing over Roosevelt Island. It carries New York State Route 25 and is the westernmost of the four East River spans that carry a route number: NY 25 terminates at the west (Manhattan) side of the bridge, which once carried NY 24 andNY 25A as well. The bridge is flanked on its northern side by the freestanding Roosevelt Island Tramway.

In December 2010, the city announced that the bridge would be renamed in honor of former Mayor Ed Koch from the Queensboro Bridge to the Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge. The renaming decision was unpopular among Queens residents and business leaders, and many locals continue to refer to the bridge by its older name

Staircase to where?...

Staircase to where?...

Blog I

The great Hall at the Natural History Museum is more like a Cathedral than a museum. This is a picture of the stairs that take you to the top of the building. The view from the stairs inward to the building is very impressive indeed. you can view the picture I took of that in the comments.

When I went to take pictures of the building I spent amore time taking pictures of the architecture than looking at the exhibits. I think any photographer would find it hard to spend more time looking at the exhibits than taking pictures there.
