such sweet comments! thanks so, so much :o) i
thought the compostition might only appeal to
me...so fun to hear that others...whose work
i love like it too! thanks! thanks!
this is adorable. I have only done one
newborn session, and the bub kept toileting
over her father, and blankets etc. How do
you manage to get the cute naked sleeping
baby photos without multiple accidents. One
other question - what did you use as your
back drop?
ava...thanks for all your sweet comments
& faves! kristen, holly, d, chera...thanks so, so much
:o)
hey robyn- first, thanks :o) i've only shot 4
newborns...one of them in 2 sessions (at 5
days & again at 9, i think...so the daddy
could be included)- so just 5 sessions 14
days & under.
let me just say, this sweet little girly is
the only one who didn't dirty up my fabrics
or me or her mommy or daddy. i can promise
you it's the exception to leave in the same
clothes you came it ;o)
i use assorted blankets & a big sheet of
black velvet fabric with babies. here,
though...she was laying on a green futon
& her mom was holding a brown blanket
behind her. i just cropped it like this for a
different look & converted to bnw &
then burned the blanket & extended the
crop vertically abover the baby.
i communicate to the mom, prior to the
session, that accidents are going to happen
& that i'm prepaired for them ;o)
...still, it's the mom that freaks out...new
moms entertain me while i'm shooting :o)
good luck with your next newbie...they are
surely hard work, but my absolute favorite
subject to shoot :o)
you make it sound so simple. Grat idea. I
particularly like the idea of black velvet
cause it would absorb the light, rather than
reflect light (light the piece of black
material I have).
The babies mother must be thrilled with these
images. Well done
