The lace yoke

I used intructions from the same 1920s sewing guide.

 

First, make a template out of heavy paper. Then baste your lace to it, pulling it up with the pull cord you find in lace meant for heirloom sewing.

 

I used bright colors of thread so they'd be easy to pick out later.
