I guess someone thought it was funny to throw the lifesaver on the frozen canal. The morning light illuminated the ice quite nicely. It was damn cold today, down to -15 degrees.
Taken for my Project 365. Your comments are appreciated, it gives me the motivation to continue.

i've always wondered: How do make the edges have that fading darkness around them? I've tried to do it through CS2 but wasnt sure if thats how or not? Does it come of the camera like that or is it filtered or what?

Matt, it's simply a vignette added in Lightroom, you can easily do that in Photoshop as well (or Camera Raw). I belive it's in the camera correction filter in Photoshop (unsure, but google vignette photoshop)

Nice composition, and I like the colors here too. Also, kudos for shooting with an old MF-lens, I also own a 50mm f/1.8 Zeiss Ultron and a 15mm Zenitar fisheye, and I love both those lenses.
Good luck with your project, I hope I will have enough determination to start a 365-photos thing myself too.
