The Cinegrill was a restaurant & cabaret nightclub at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel (est. 1927) which hosted top entertainers in the 1940's, and it was a major celebrity hangout. (Marilyn Monroe was a frequent patron) and
the Roosevelt also has the distinction of hosting the very first Academy Awards in 1929, after the 1950's the hotel fell into a gradual decline until it was purchased by the Radisson hotel chain who spent 35 million restoring this grand hotel on Hollywood Blvd. to it's former glory it's now. listed as a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument and one of the truly great Hollywood hotels with a wealth of history
