Must.stash bee block for Kylie

    This one drove me crazy! I have spent the last few nights in a pile of fabric with no idea which way to go. I have tried lots of combos and ripped a fair few seams, but I'm happy with the end result. I think I'll give the second block a go next week and come at it with fresh eyes!!!

      Thanks Amy, I had a real crisis of confidence with this one. I've been worrying that what I make will not live up to the other blocks that the rest of the group makes. In the end I'm happy though... I think it was too much thinking, not enough sewing! Looking at it now I need to repress the seams in the middle outwards, whoops!

      I actually really struggled this month too, but found it a fun challenge. One reason that I get in quick at the beginning of the month is so I don't have the pressure of making things after everyone else makes awesome blocks. ha!

      I'm sorry you had a hard time with this one. If it's any consolation I absolutely love it! I made these same blocks myself for a different bee and I did struggle with the fabric selection too. But I just love the look of all these scrappy blocks together. Please don't spend tooooo much time agonizing over fabric selections. Super scrappy is just what I'm after. I love all the fabrics in this block. I think it's going to be awesome with all the others :) Thank you!

      I wanted a scrappy look but I can't manage that when I think too hard! It all worked out in the end. I made my second block last night and am happy with it.... Pics to come!

      I know exactly what you mean! I think this one is such a challenge because there are so many different fabrics to choose for it. I really overthink scrappy too. Sometimes I think I'd be better off just throwing some fabrics in a pile, closing my eyes and pulling them out like that!
