Berkeley Municipal Pier

Berkeley Municipal Pier

It has been tough trying to find the time to get out and shoot, but I am sure glad I made it out to this spot last Sunday!
It was so peaceful on the Bay that evening, no wind, comfortable temperature and hardly a ripple in the water. Off in the distance there was a real light fog or mist laying right on top of the water. Then to top it off the sky put on a real show......

This was taken about a half hour before sunset, and the one below was about an hour later.

Thank you for taking a look.......

The Stars Over Switzerland......

The Stars Over Switzerland......

This was the view we had from our balcony at Hotel Mitghorn, located in Gimmelwald, high up in the Swiss Alps. A very rustic place, with creaky wood floors, surrounded by green rolling hills, snow capped mountains and the sound of cow bells all around.....It was Amazing!!!!

This was my first attempt at doing a star-trail shot, something I have wanted to try for a long time.
This is made up of 110, 30 second exposures stacked together in PS.

Canon 40 D
EF 16-35 mm @ 19mm
f/3.2 ISO 800
30 second exposure, 110 times
The Camera was set to burst mode with shutter release cable locked.

The mountains were lit up by a nice full moon rising off to the left.......

Thank you for taking a look.......

Neuschwanstein Castle, What Fairytales Are Made Of.........

Neuschwanstein Castle, What Fairytales Are Made Of.........

The Neuschwanstein Castle is one of the most visited castles in Germany and one of the most popular tourist destination in Europe.
The castle is located in Bavaria, near the town of Fussen. It was built by King Ludwig II of Bavaria.

After a pretty decent hike, then climbing over a barrier and ignoring a sign that I think said Keep Out in German, my brother and I found this little spot at the edge of a cliff.......

Press L or click on it, this is best viewed in lightbox.......

Thank you for taking a look.....
