Tripod would have been better for quality,
but I wasn't sure how the stadium would react

Really nice wide-angle. BTW, Comerica Park
(like most professional sports venues)
doesn't allow tripods (unless of course
you're a pro with a press pass). Actually,
Comerica's camera policy is lots better than
most venues; Joe Louis Arena, for instance,
doesn't allow lenses over 50mm, and lots of
places don't allow interchangeable lenses at
all.
