Adult Male Habronattus coecatus Jumping Spider

A new species for me! First time to see any Habronattus around, and they really are different. This is an adult male, and the red facial markings are crazy, I've never seen such an intense color on a jumping spider. Plus, parts of the legs were an olive green! (Look to the right of the spider's head.) This guy had some huge palps, which were unfortunately obscuring his chelicerae which were a very cool two-tone cream-black pattern.

This time I reversed the 28mm to a few extension tubes. Proved sharper than using a teleconverter, I may have to use the steup more often.

(The spider itself was easy to photograph, but it was almost impossible to take a photo that didn't either overexpose/oversaturate the red facial markings. So hopefully the red isn't too red on your monitor, but that is how it came out of the camera, and how the spider appeared to my eyes. As a result of the color issue, I did almost no post-processing at all, as just about any adjustment to contrast/ brightness would destroy any detail in the red. Tell me if it looks bizarre on your display.)
