Great shot Jenni,
excellent bokeh and texture. It kind of looks like white powder across a silk screen I like the tag "small deaths" Very apt for when a flower dies. I like the form of your neck and the lower part of your faces. It all fits together well.
I have bad news and good news. Last week I dropped my camera, flash and lens. Camera and flash are O.K. But smashed the 28-85 into a couple of pieces(see my photostream for sad picture). The good news is the insurance company is supplying me with a nice new 16-85 Nikkor complete with VRII. So, to answer your question how am I doing? I am doing O.K. :-)

Jenni! This is lovely, and good luck with the exams, and when you said Helsinki, it reminded me about the band "Architecture in Helsinki" it's a wonderfully quirky band. You might like it. :)
this is lovely, i love the tones of it, even if it is black and white, it's more metallic, but you know what i mean ;-) and I had one DD, and in two days i had 800 messages...oy, it was ridiculous! I used to be so good at thanking everyone, but i couldn't..ahaha it does cause some wonderful exposure around Deviant art. :)

Gustavo, I guess I just found the similarity of our pictures so identical, even the colors and all, that I was mistaken. And since we are each others contacts after all...
Of course you don't need to credit me if it was not inspired by my photo. I just haven't seen similar photos myself anywhere, so perhaps you can understand why I thought yours might have been inspired by mine. Slight inspiration and plain copy cat images are two different things too.
And just so you know, I certainly don't want to be the bitch here, it doesn't suit my personality, but... :-)
It's not really about whether or not you credit me or someone else or anyone at all, I don't mind that much to be honest. It happens all the time and unfortunately I've been quilty of it myself as well a couple of times in the past (and I hopefully learnt from it!) I'm just bothered you felt the need to delete my comment that was in no way offending or demanding, I just wanted to help you. Around a year ago I didn't realize myself how bad it is to take a creative based idea and not correct people that think it's your original. I thought you perhaps weren't aware of it like I wasn't fully aware of it myself...I just wanted to give you a friendly advice, because people DO realize if you copy someone's work! And yes...people do often get the same, even identical, ideas, but they usually don't execute those SAME ideas the exact SAME way.
I understand people will always do what other people have already done. That's how we people learn things, after all! ;) But in the creative world, it is polite to credit :) But do what your heart says!
