It's snowing this morning

Nothing. to whinge about, but I decided that on balance I'd prefer making cheese scones for breakfast tomorrow to going out to the Co-op to get some of their cheesy twists.

Little white flowers peeping out at the end of January? Should be snowdrops, but they appear to be cheeky little wild strawberry flowers.

Still retired!

profJohn's retirement was hot news back in the Autumn, but we're both only gradually settling into it. Today he decided we should drink one of the rather nice Tavel rosés a colleague gave him as a retirement present, and he got out a couple of the fancy wine glasses he received on the same occasion.
