Your comment gives one depthes vertiginous at your marvellous pics. Belonging myself to an old culture, and living in a city which "invented" the conservation of the architectural and cultural memory of the previous generations, I am very sensitive to what you say.
There is also, in the fact of inheriting from the history of those before, the notion of responsibility which guides some of our decisions, which can be supposed to be for pride or vanity at the eyes of the others.
