The Morris A Mechanic Theater - Baltimore, Maryland

The old Morris Mechanic Theater in Baltimore is now a vacant building. Built in 1967 is housed traveling theater productions in Baltimore for almost 30 years. Called by many the ugliest building in Baltimore, there has been pressure to preserve the now empty building. It is a cast concrete building designed in what is called "Brutalism" and also called "abstract expressionism". It was considered innovative in 1967. Today I just think its ugly.
