Eastern Phoebe
Sometime back I drove all the backroads from ottawa down to cornwall on the way I saw several birds, mostly bobolinks, thrushes, cowbirds, and ofcourse the geese and the gulls in large numbers, at times the hawks were flying right above the fields but too far just to catch silhouette. I went to cooper marsh and walked around the various trails as I was alone. stopping by each corner and hearing the loud bull frog calling at each step. There were lots of birds, waxwings, yellow throat, yellow warblers, osprey, some shore birds. Many birds I just saw and then they disappeared before I got a shot some were too quick for the camera and few waited patiently for the exposure and composition. This is the one I got as I was exiting near the parking just before putting cap on my lens. I was sitting on a low branch with a strong back light a bit obscured by the vegetation see the fine bokehs and moving around I found the tree blocking a bit of that light to give the proper exposure and not the silhouette. I think this is a pewee but it could a any other similar flycatchers,
Have great Wednesday, sunny and clear after yesterday's short passing storm.

Rose breasted Grosbeak
Pheucticus ludovicianus
I saw this bird a couple of weeks back at that time it was hiding behind in the branches high up and I had all the setting for manual by the time I got to focus and take shot it got away and those few seconds never came back. I was looking for longtime. When this one came quite close but at the least expected time I was able to get a shot only against a strong backlight, but setting the focus to only one point and trying did help a bit. So I decided to share this one.
Have a great week!

I'm looking for nuts
A chipmunk begging for peanuts on the Jack pine trail, they just go around from rock to standing on two feet and holding their little arms up in air for sometime then go around on the slightest movement to the next rock. The shade of tree and warm light from sun giving the red background blur and a bit of highlight on the underbelly of the chipmunk was so captivating I could resist taking another chipmunk shot!

Redwinged Black bird (Female)
A female red winged blackbird feeding. I rarely use the popup flash but I tried this time to check and it turn out to be good fill in for the distance. It is SOOC. Don't have tools without my computer. I am still using the flickr uploader and cards to select the pictures for uploading.
