Amazing image! I have a Canon 600D/T3i and a Canon 70-300mm lens. If I install Magic Lantern, what are the chances of me capturing an image like this?

AFAIK you also have to have special motorized mount to trace star position, otherwise all you frames will be shifted due to constant Earth movement. :)

Is there any software to correctly stack the images by moving them each time ?

      Oh my... It's gorgeous.

I wonder, what neat shots I can possibly take given that I have old-school Soviet MTO500 lens for 35 mm M42 cameras (considering 1.6 crop factor it will be equivalent of 800mm for Canon). Moon shot taken with Canon 600D and this lens looks like this: www.flickr.com/photos/spirik/7419439894/ .

However, I believe, it will be somewhat incredibly hard to manage set up sky tracker rig for it ('cause it's rather huge).

amazing... what equipment do you use to track along with the sky? If I was wanting to try something like this basicly how much to get setup?

Hi, congratulations for this wonderful image of M31.
I'm strongly interested about Magic Lantern in astrophotography. Do you removed also the IR-cut original filter?
Thank you in advance and clear skies!
