El santuari de Kasuga Taisha, a Nara, és un dels importants del Japó, i molt antic. La seva estructura és molt diferent del santuari usual, amb corredors coberts, fonts, i multiples santuaris menors dintre seu. Però pel que és famós visualment és pels milers de llanties de bronze i pedra que l'envolten.
