Space Flower
It's not Photoshop, it's an over-active imagination. For some reason it occurred to me to fill an old sugar bowl with water, soak a dead rose in it, and put it in the freezer.
This photo was taken on December 31, 2008 in Rideau-Rockcliffe, Eastview, ON, CA, using a Nikon D200.

Wow. Way too cool! (No pun intended, really!) It just works so well, and who would have thought.... "yeah, I'll stick that dead rose in the freezer... oh, but wait, I'll stick it in the old sugar bowl with water first... yeah that'll work".... And, it does, what a great shot.
