It was too beautiful a day to spend shut up in the office. Hettie called her boss feigning wing ache and prepared herself for a glorious day in the summer sun.

Catty, this is wonderful. I love the shadow beneath the bug and the blueness of the sky against the red; and your little stories are terrific. They really could be syndicated into a weekly newspaper series. I'm sure you could develop quite a following.
