Northern Hardwood Sugar Maples

    The straightness of this line of sugar maples along Partridge Road is an indicator that these trees were planted years ago by human hands, probably to serve as both a fence row and as part of a sugarbush. Sugar maple is one of the dominant tree species in the northern hardwood assemblage.
