Back to my comfortable photography genre of Australian Landscapes.
For those who may not know, The Twelve Apostles are breathtaking examples of nature at work. Free standing rock stacks that are pounded by waves from the southern oceans. It is the differential rates of erosion along the coast with alternate bands of hard and soft rocks which results in an irregular coastline.
Summer in Australia, thought by many to be scorchingly HOT. Well so did I, until I travelled the Great Ocean Road expecting warm, sunny days with beautiful crimson sunsets. It rained from the Victorian border all the way to Torquay. But, the journey was no less beautiful. As you can see here moisture from the recent rain was withheld amongst the cliffs and created a beautiful carpet of fog. It is a spectacular sight and a unique way to view this incredible region.
