Pollination success? Yes. Please see notes and I've downloaded the absolute largest size for viewing pleasure of all the different stages of maturity. The leaves are 12" or greater in diameter and the flowers 6" in diameter.

WOW that is one large bed. I can just imagine how it must feel to be there. I like the foliage of the water lotus almost as much as the flowers. That form with the stem attached to the bottom center of the leaf is called peltate whereas the stems on most leaves seem to be attached at the margin.Plus they are so big and smooth.

Thanks nature55 and sisudave.
nature55, less than one mile away. There are three ponds. The big one you've seen and two smaller ponds above. It's dragonfly heaven. They had so many bee and wasp visitors it was hard not to take a shot and get one or a blur of one or two.
sisudave, the bed looks so natural in this corner of the pond. Of course they aren't. I didn't discover them until my first photographs of them in mid June. My observation is this is a mature established bed that has been there for many years. The foliage is huge. I'm still just in awe of the monster blossoms sticking straight up 2 feet above the pond's surface.
