Happy Sunday, all!
This morning I had the pleasure of a brunch with the lovely Holly, talking about life, career, and of course BOOKS! I took home a giant pile of books to read--can't wait to dive in.
There was a street fair and bike swap in her neighborhood. I've been wanting a bike (I do live in Brooklyn, it's probably in the handbook), and so I found a bunch of used bikes and bought one! It's red and all rusty. It needs a serious tune up, but I rode it home and really enjoyed the feeling of pedaling out in the open. I can't wait to go for some rides!
In the afternoon, we were stood up by a flighty cake baker, so I took some time to at least do some self-portraits. It was the assignment this week in photo class, and I've had a little more time in the last few days, so I've been trying to put a little thought into them. (Not like it's always worked, of course; overall I feel very much lacking in photo mojo.)
