Female Lesser Scaup

I haven't seen allot of these at the Ridgefield Wildlife Refuge but I was happy to find her.... the late afternoon sunshine really made her plumage practically glow.

Fluffy

This time of the year it hard to drive through the Ridgefield Wildlife Refuge without seeing one or more of these Great Blue Herons hunting in the shallows.

Winter's ice

What during normal temperatures would be just a wet drip from the cliff walls of the Gorge turns into this icicle over hang when the temps drop along the old scenic hwy 30.
