The old jagger track forgotten beauty of Yorkshire

The old jagger track forgotten beauty of Yorkshire

The jagger track, an ancient pack horse track that winds its way across Low Wood. A little dark so worth visiting again and taking the same shot again perhaps

Low wood in low light

Low wood in low light

I love the low light and the carpet of copper coloured beech leaves. Must do the same shot one misty day.

Low wood in autumn looking down to Royd Hall beck

Low wood in autumn looking down to Royd Hall beck

Low Wood near Norwood Green, West Yorkshire. Walk deep into the wood and just before the 'jagger' track you see this visa. Taken by balancing the camera on top of a fence post and using the self timer - because of low light.

An autumn scene at Low Wood, beautiful Yorkshire

An autumn scene at Low Wood, beautiful Yorkshire

I do love the perspective here drawing your eye into the distance and from the side to the middle. The light was just perfect, a little mist would have helped but then I would have lost the shadow definition - This picture is uncropped and has had no post production work on it.
