Se vi inoltraste sino alle soglie dell'Ade, aggrappati alla vostra
torcia ed al vostro cuore,
vi imbattereste in Steno ed Euriale, le mitiche Gorgoni.
Un tempo erano tre, assieme alla terribile Medusa, fino a quando un
giorno Perseo,
con l'aiuto di Atena, le mozzò la testa di netto.
Furono le Graie, ingannate da Perseo, che rapirono la sua sposa,
allorché sedeva suo seggio di paglia. Consegnata alle diaboliche
Gorgoni, consumarono la loro vendetta
contro Perseo, pietrificando la sua compagna.
Ancora oggi, nelle notti senza luna, si ode il lamento dell'eroe
che piange la sua sposa.
