perhaps someone has developed a PDF reader
for it that has annotation capabilities; the
one I use (and also the built-in reader in
Safari) does not... as far as I know. I
haven't really explored it yet.
I definitely prefer reading PDFs on the iPad
over reading them on my laptop...
I had managed to talk myself out of rushing
out to get one this past weekend, but now I
must say that it does look pretty cool. How
are the photo apps on it? I have a student
at school here who says he has photoshop on
his iPhone, I'm assuming that there'll be an
version for the iPad soon! (any my Ruth
would love having more space on my lap
available that's currently taken up by the
laptop)
Dan: we weren't planning on getting one
either, at least not right away. We were
going to wait a while... but then my husband
I got caught up in the excitement (he was
watching some tech webcasts on saturday AM)
and decided to go to our local Best Buy (no
local Apple Store for us) to see what was to
be seen... and ended up buying one.
I have to say that I do really like it... I
already have an ipod touch which I use for
pdf reading, casual web browsing, games... so
sort of everything I might use the ipad for,
now with a bigger screen. I don't have any
photo apps installed on it, though, so can't
say about that.
estupendo trabajo, gracias por compartirlo.

So how's it function as a paper reader? Any annotation capabilities?

The kitty probably didn't mind the warmth from the iPad. Looks like you've commited yourself to lotsa reading ; )
