Burial Place of J.B. Lankershim

Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument No. 181. The son of Isaac Lankershim, James Boon Lankershim was one of the largest landowners in Southern California with about 44,000 acres. Stock-raiser, miller, banker, hotelier, delegate to improve San Pedro Harbor, and Shriner, Lankershim died in 1931. His ashes were scattered around this hillside.
