We have started to grow & eat lots of Sprouts.... Sunflower are my favorite and I could eat them every day. They grow so fast and taste great in my spinach salads. Reading up on the nutrition of Sprouts is very interesting to us. Wheat grass is on the left and this is after we cut it once already. Then we will use it one more time and grow some new stuff. It is so wonderful to see green growth in the middle of winter. Id love any info anyone else has on growing sprouts. The other thing Ive thought of is Kefir. This shot is blurry....

The right is newly planted sunflower seeds and the middle is the sprouts ready to eat. I pick them and pull off the seed shell and wash em and soak em in cold water while I get the rest of my salad stuff cut up. When its time to add them in they are might crunchy and tasty. The wheat grass we ground up and drank the liquid then let it grow some more. Any wheat grass recipes anyone??

Kids outside playing on a warm sunny winter day. It was really nice out for January. Quinn didnt have his boots or mittens so we had to improvise and put my mitts on his feet and some bigger gloves on his hands. He still got to play outside and thats what counts :) They had a ball together.

These are brown lentels. They are sprouted a little too long but still taste very good. We also did Mung Beans. Fun to watch how fast they grow :)
