Rome by night (165:366)

Today was another awesome day. First off we went in to the Colloseum, using our Roma Pass to skip the lines (It was even faster than the guided tour groups line!), then we met back up with Karrie-Ann, Sophie and Jo and wandered over to Castel St Angelo, before eventually meandering home.
Once it was almost dark, Mark and I then headed back to the Colloseum to shoot it all lit up at night.
    This is SOOC.
(and yes, I know I have a self-portrait theme for my 366 this month, but this one HAD to be shared!)

What a smashing shot of the Colosseum. Must be awe-inspiring to stand in front of it. Amazing architecture that has out lasted the ages.

It was pretty cool. Not quite as awe inspiring as the Pantheon - that was a real "Oh, wow" moment, as was the walkway inside the dome of St Peters. :)
