    Yep, no kidding I was THAT close - this is taken with a regular short lens at Wednesday's Papal Audience. I'm still reeling!!!

      I'm so jealous, I wish I could have gotten some shots like that at the audience. I was too busy recording video when he passed and didn't switch over to photographs until he got up to the steps.

      Also, is it just me or is there a spot on his cape?

      Nice composition and well timed to capture the hand gesture. The only thing I'd correct is the shadow on the pope's face, beacause it's simply too dark. Some work in curves would do the job nicely.
