-788 . February 28, 2012- muffin redemption
Made the mistake last night of using old shortening in muffins because we were out of butter. Smelled slightly off cold, but I hardly ever use shortening, so I'm not really familiar with how it's supposed to smell (apparently not at all).
After baking, the house smelled disgusting. Had to make some good muffins to make it better. Raspberry and white chocolate chip.

Leap day. Flickr suggested that I ought to be taking photos of leaping. So I grabbed my remote, wrapped a gorillapod around a gate, and started jumping. Jumping off the farther step worked out ok. Then I thought I'd try a bit closer to the camera, and promptly banged my head on a tree. This is my "ouch" landing. Leaping photos were not otherwise highly successful, so I gave up and went inside.
Have been a total klutz today otherwise as well. Beginning to suspect that spare days in the year are troublesome.
