Getting pounded by the mist on the well-named Mist Trails near Vernal Falls
Yosemite was to be one of the highlights of our May 2010 "School's Finally Out for the Summer" tour - we were going to spend four days checking out the park, especially the high country. However, the weather gods were against us this year. The roads to Glacier Point and Tioga Pass were closed due to snow and were weeks away from opening - and then there was a Winter Storm warning while we were in the park - forecast of heavy rain which fortunately never showed up. We ended up only spending two days in the park - one of my favorite places in all the world. Since we didn't have a chance to see everything this year I guess we have to return next year!
