Up close and personal with a grizzly bear in Denali National Park, Alaska

I took this photo in Denali National Park in September 2008. I won a lottery ticket to drive the road (normally closed to cars) and saw a bunch of people pulled off to the side of the road looking at a bear about 100 yards away in the other direction. I heard a noise behind and turned to watch this grizzly emerging from the brush. It freaked a Park Ranger out and she made everyone get back into their car but the bear wasn't interested in the people and just kept going.

This is definitely a perfect shot of a grizzly. And I found it to be a great addition to my page on Denali Park...
