Guitar Label
The label reads "Guitarras de Artesania, Manufacturas, Alhambra,S.A. MURO DE ALCOY (ALICANTE), ESPANA, 23 July 1973". (not sure about the date though, might be 29 July...)
My mum bought this guitar for me from a family friend some years ago for £10. Sounds quite nice though. Really should play it more!

Yes, you should! :) My guitar was made in the 80s. We'll have to record clips for each other sometime.

I remember when I was younger, I begged and begged my parents for a violin. They insisted that I would probably drop it after only a couple of weeks. So, in my despair, I tried to make a violin out of a box and some strings. As you might guess, it didn't sound very well :) I am curious as to what this sounds like. Very neat.

bonsaibutterfly, guitars are supposed to mature with age, so yours probably sounds quite mellow perhaps... Yes on clips, sometime at least...! I'm a little out of practice! and I don't have a teacher... there is one tune I know quite well, so I'll have to practice that one and record it for you. Would be nice to hear you play too :) (maybe this is a case of 'ladies first' ;) )
April H, that's a shame you couldn't convince your parents to get you a violin, neat story about building your own though! When I've made this recording I referred to I'll let you have a copy too if you like.

OK bonsaibutterly, I'll be practising ;). BTW are you a Mac or PC person? if PC you might be better off waiting till Vista comes out (should be this winter hopefully!). I'm currently a PC person and waiting for Vista to appear to see what it's like then will make a decision whether to get a new PC or Mac...
