And so the sea consumes the remains...

This used to be a look out platform at the Sutro Baths in San Francisco. Time and the sea have taken its toll and it now lies in the crumbling ruins of the sea bath walls.

The neat thing about this spot is the cave on the right gets filled with the crashing waves around the point. The water then flows out the cave onto the ruins and then back out into the sea. Its a giant cycle and when the tide comes up gets more and more active.

This place used to be a popular spot back in the late 1800's and through the 20th century.

    Shot under a full moon
    Focal length 20mm
    ISO 200
    180 secs @ 5.6

No light painting this time...the screwy moon and clouds covering and uncovering the light made it hard enough to get a decent shot.

Cool shot... would love to have seen that cave lit up with a gelled flash or strobe. Still, I like the mood this shot sets. Great shot!

I love it. Have you shot there much before? I spent weeks out there last spring. Never tire of the place. I shot several from this very spot. This is an HDR I pulled from there in May.

wonderful shot!.! I remember that little walk way. I shot it back in 2002.
This one was actually taken from the walkway. Now its all gone. Poetic!

This was my favorite spot there....I was tempted to climb down, but it was a iffy, turbulent spot...which I knew was going to take me downn if I climbed down..
