Hotel Bel Air - our room for our friends' wedding.

My daughter thought that my photo compared well to the professional photo on their website, which is why I'm including it. A different feel with the lighting. You be the judge. :)

The Hotel Bel Air in Los Angeles, California USA was superb. The service and everything was perfect and elegant - the definition of elegance.

Gorgeous! I like yours better than the one on the site- it feels warmer and more inviting! What a neat place to see a wedding!

Thank you for the kind comments. I was proud of myself that I opened the same door as the professional & I had a broader view. The professional photo is crisp & clean, this is softer & warmer.

The Hotel had 3 beautiful weddings this weekend. If one can afford it, this is the perfect place for a wedding. Security was so paranoid about cameras that they watched me like I was some kind of paparazzi. I did get a few photos, but I'm not sure about showing them, since I would like to take my wife back here for our 50th anniversary :)

Yours is better, Like Red feather said your photo has a warm feel to it. Also its a wider shot than theirs, you can see the lamps on the right. Which makes a difference for me.

Excellent interior shot. Interior lighting can be such a pain, but you've tamed it well.

Franco & Leviathor - thank you for the comments. Each one of you has unique perspectives, skill and talent & I appreciate your taking the time to help me. Lighting is magical. The day was a little overcast, it was late afternoon and traffic made us late, and it was just really an incredible treat to be at this Hotel. I'm glad I did not have to pay Rack Rate for this room. :)

Excellent angle, composition and lighting!! I could easily
see this in a magazine or ad. But even better is the fact
that you were there to enjoy the place : )

They got more of the doors and table (probably because they were using natural light -- that has a distinct blue tint) and you got more of the lamps (and warmer light).

The room is gorgeous. I love those doors.

Hi , our Hotel photos group invites you , to add this excellent photo in our group.

The main goal of our group is to provide travellers with additional information about their accomodation in a hotel.

It would be great if your photos are geotagged with a detailed description of the hotel.

You must have been in room 315 or the one next to it. I have stayed in that room many times and you have truly captured it....that hotel is one of my favorite places - just returned from BA last night!

    13. Al_HikesAZ (38 months ago | reply)

@dc32 - thanks. This is Room 315. I looked at your photostream - you get to some nice places. It's rare that I visit LA and ever rarer that I get to stay this far away from a business center :(

What's the jet in your photostream?
